Hi I'm just wondering if anyone applied for their New Grad RN job and have heard anything from them. I just so happen to go to their website and search jobs again like I always do every week and I saw it posted and applied. HR said it should be starting in June/July its a nine week program.

If anyone currently works there how do you like it and do you know the round about starting pay for New Grads? Also, how much weight does knowing someone that works there hold?

TIA

did you ever heard from them? I saw a posting for Med-surg where new grads are welcomed to apply and I applied. so now im playing the waiting game.

I applied to a Med/Surg posting as well. I didn't hear anything from them so I called HR and she said that internal applicants are considered first. Two weeks ago they posted a New Grad Emergency room opening I applied to that one and I hadn't heard anything from them. When I called HR said they were reviewing and processing applications and may be contacting ppl who are considered by April 9th. You and me both are playing the waiting game.

thanks for the info! good luck to you :)

No problem and good luck to you as well. If you hear any new information please share.

will do :)

Hello All New Grads,

To say " IT' HARD OUT HERE FOR US" is the understatement of the year. Sometimes, it is best to get experience for a year in a field outside of the hospital. If Tri-City is where your applied, North County SD is in your neighborhood. There are many SNF, Long-term care facilities, clinics, dialysis clinics, correctional facilities (yeah, I know),etc to choose from that will train new grads. Right now, in this economy, it is better to work at something that you love in a place that you don't like than to not work at all. Get the experience and get paid, then move on. This sentiment seems to bring me some comfort. I work at Sharp as a nsg assistant and I have applied for their new grad program twice... nothing. The waiting game stinks when your rent is due and the kids need to eat

Hi guys, I'll be a new grad soon. How is the job market going? Were you all able to find anything? Thanks for sharing!
