Temecula Valley Experienced Nurse Job Fair

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello all!

Just thought I would start a thread for any of you out there who attended the job fair for Temecula Valley Hospital on July 26th. Please feel free to share any updates you hear regarding the hiring process. Did anyone receive a call back as a result of the job fair? What's next? Hate the waiting game!

I also attended the job fair and am anxiously awaiting word. I asked during the second interview what the next step would be and was told to expect a phone call from HR to schedule a formal interview with the Med/Surg Manager. I was not given any sort of timeline or a name I could contact to follow up. I did call and ask someone in their HR office if there was any timeline and she told me that it was up to each individual manager. Hopefully next week we will start to hear something. What are you applying for? I am looking at Med/Surg as my background is in Orthopedics. Do you know if they are only looking for the positions posted on the website? I would assume so but maybe there are some other rumors floating about. How did you do on the exams and interviews? I was so nervous! Best of luck to you!

Also...Did you happen to see that over 500 people were at the job fair? I read it on their Facebook page. Lots of competition and may explain why it will take some time to get back to everyone.

That is too funny! I also applied for med/surg (days), and my experience is in ortho as well. I did see the amount of people who attended, and was quite surprised due to the hospital's location. Those numbers also make me more nervous! As far as the test, I do not know what my results are. Do you? How did your "process" go? I did med/ECG test (passed), 1st interview, 2nd interview, then straight to testing area for Nurse Battery exam. After the test I told them I was done and they said to make sure I apply online and should hear something in the next week or two! I wasn't sure what to think after that. As far as the online positions, I'm not sure what the difference is in applying online vs. the job fair except now they have an official application. Well good luck to you as well, and let me know if you hear anything! :)

Wow. I was not aware of the nurse battery exam. I did the med/EKG test and 1st and 2nd interviews and then was told I would be contacted by HR for a formal interview with the Med/Surg Manager. Maybe I was really just at the end of the road. Best wishes to you!

Wow, that is so weird! See that is why I felt so unsure of what was to happen next. Maybe it was ME at the end of the road and was just referred back to the pool of online applicants...aahhh....who knows, I guess all we can do is wait. Good luck to you as well!

Any news yet? No news to report here.

BTW are you currently working? I am looking for a nursing job after being out of the field for several years. Best wishes to you!

Nothing yet on my end. I do know of someone who was brought in today for an interview for ICU as a result of the job fair. My guess (hope) is that there were many more applying for med/surg vice the specialty areas, which may be why it is taking longer. I am working right now, but only have about 1 1/2 years experience as an RN. Fingers crossed!!

Any news?? I still haven't received a phone call or an email. My application status online did change however. It said no longer accepting applications. One of the apps says no longer being considered, and the other says applied (didn't change). So still confused, thinking I may get a rejection email soon, but fingers still crossed!

No news.

Hi, I recently applied and was wondering if there was anyone who applied AFTER the job fair and already heard back for interviews?
