I am looking for other hopeful applicants to the ADN program at SRJC for Fall 2011/Spring 2012? Does anyone have any info re: acceptance/denial email and when to expect it? I am certainly learning lessons in surrender and patience! Looking for co-commiserators:eek:

I'm waiting and am about to go crazy! It is hard to plan summer with our kids when I don't know! My friend found out about acceptance to college of mendo in march! Have you applied before? I applied last year and was 200-450 on list. They didn't even look at my application. Good luck!

I am in the same boat. I, too, was 200-450 on the waiting list last yr. In the meantime I became certified as a CNA/HHA and here I am again! Aaaaack I'm going crazy too. Last yr the denial letter came on June 7- but I don't know whether to expect it to be later or not? I spoke w/-------- he said there were around 550 applicants this year! And yes, I hear you about the summer w/the kids- and planning the work schedule, etc. Best of luck to you too! I sure hope it's this week...?...

Bad news! Just talked to -------- at Health Sciences and she said they will not let anyone know about acceptances until, at the earliest, end of June but possibly even later than that. She had no information about the TEAS and school starts on August 22nd. She said there is only one person going through applicants. Unbelievable!!!!!!!!!!

YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!!! I am a single Mom of 3 sons- age 15, 13 and 3. I work two jobs and go to school. I have to move into a different house before December, so am waiting to find out if I got in... and if I am accepted I need to move my 3 br house before the semester begins. If I am not accepted, I can wait until December because then I won't be moving during a time when I'm not capable. So I guess in a period of 2 months I will have to find a house, move, get financial aid (&/or school loans), figure out which job I will keep (if any), arrange for correct child care hrs, get my books, and jump through whatever other hoops they need us to at the college???!!! :uhoh3: WOW I'm tired just thinking about it LOL.

Oh well tks for listening. Fact of the matter is, if I get in I will be grateful no matter what. I have faith that there is a divine purpose for all timing, and hope it may be this yr. Either I will be accepted and be very tired but grateful... or I won't be accepted, can relax... and will try again next year. Right? I understand I am powerless and will wait in faith :heartbeat

Just got my rejection email :( Im so sad a numb. Does anyone know if they filtered out the people who did not meet the minimal requirements? You need a certain GPA and such to even qualify to get into the lottery. I'm almost 99.9% sure I met the min requirements to qualify but in some freak mistake maybe I didn't?? Would I still get a lottery number?? That's my big question.

I am sorry you didn't get in Amberleena. I would talk to your advisor to find out if you meet the requirements. Did they give you what number you were? Last year I was 200-450. Also, what time did you get the email? I have not heard anything as of right now at 7:21 pm. I believe the Lord has a plan for me; if it is meant to be, then I will get in, and if not, I am sure greater things are on the horizon. :)

I got my email at around 2pm yesterday. I got in for the fall class.

Congratulation Absn student for getting in. I got an email yesterday as well saying my lottery number is high on the alternate list. Don't know what to do now because I got accepted into another program in the bay area but I like this school better. I wish they could tell me SOON if I got in... Best of luck everyone :D

If you r high on the waitlist I wouldn't count on getting in, so maybe accept the enrollment to the other school, and if u find out u get into SRJC u can always leave the other program. Which program was it you got into?

I was thinking about accepting the other program and then possibly switching. The other program is in Oakland, Merritt College and it is definitely closer to my house but SRJC is a better program. I guess I will just have to wait for little bit and see what happens. Was this your first time applying?

Ya switching would be good, I haven't heard good things about Merritt. But yes this was my first time applying. How about you?
