Has anyone applied to the hospitals in Murrieta, CA for their New Grad Program? If so have you received a call from anyone? I applied and finished my application process Dec.8 it closed on Dec 30. Ever since the beginning of the year I have been calling the HR because I haven't heard anything from anyone. They haven't returned my calls and it always goes to vm. I just wanted to see if anyone else had the issues I'm having.

That company is having major issues right now managing both their hospitals....hope it all works out for you

Oh man thanks for replying. I have kinda given up for the New Grad Residency I applied for there. No one ever calls me back. If someone leaves you a message call them back point blank you can say yes or no or at least reply to an email. I think I may ride back up there and speak to someone, my hubs can't get off work that much and we only have one vehicle but I really would like to talk to someone about their HR.

where are you coming from? where else have you applied?

I'm coming from Oceanside. I've applied to Loma Linda, CHOC, Alvarado, and some LTC. Palomar, Scribes, Sharp and Tri-City I haven't seen anything for them lately. I do know Sharp and Rady have New Grad Programs again in July. I have my resume on file at the Naval Hospital I'm looking at usajobs webiste for job openings at the VA. I really am ready for a job.

Specializes in Emergency, Trauma, Critical Care.

I can tell you a couple hospitals to not focus on. Loma Linda may state they are having new grad programs, but they have only been hiring the graduates from their nursing program the last year internally because of the economy, and many of these graduates spent the last 3 years training there so easier to train.

VA Hospitals are currently on freezes for new grads, for the last year.

I dont know about the other ones, I think Tri-City is not hiring new grads either.

Good luck to you.

Um yeah I gave up on Loma Linda they said my app went to a recruiter but no one has contacted me. I already have an app packet at the VA hosital and just checking to see if any openings may come up they keep your info on file for 2 years. Tri-City was a hospital I looked into early on in my job search but a lady from my church works there and informed me of the freeze for New Grads. Thank you I'm just trusting and praying I can get something soon.

Thats not true, I graduated from CSUSB 12/09 and have been accepted into the new grad residency program which starts this March. They are not so inclusive as to disregard applicants from other schools.

I am starting there next week.

They had an overwhelming response to the new graduate program, and they had very few openings. I Think you should keep trying and keep plugging away it is very difficult right now but I have seen my cohorts be offered jobs that we thought were closed.

Keep up with all the new grad positions through this link.

I talked to a recruiter at Loma Linda, she was so nice really lovely!

She said times are difficult now but please keep applying to any job that interests you. Each application is looked at individually so if you apply to one unit the other units will not be seeing it, so if you see something you like just apply, and personally call the recruiter and show your interest. I went to a job fair this summer and was so turned off by San Diego Hospitals they were so negative and wouldn't give me the time of day. Loma Linda, and County riverside, all agreed times were tough and they were not hiring but at least, they were honest and said please keep applying! They didn't want to burn any bridges with new grads and were very positive. So I say just keep plugging away and keep on the follow up! I have many classmates who have been successful this past semester with that technique.

Thank you so much for info. I have that website saved to my favorites I saw it on another thread. I just applied to Rady last week and then I'll be applying to Sharp this Tuesday. I'm not giving up on jobs because I know in due time one will come available.
