Is there anyone here that is applying to the San Jose State University nursing program for Fall 2013?!

umm for the urine tests, do I just drop in? I don't know how to "register as a student" on that sjsu nursing student health website like they said in the email./..

I really don't feel like peeing in a cup :(

Are you an SJSU student? You just go up to the lab and drop in and tell them you want a drug test for the School of Nursing. And then you pay $50 cash/check down on the first floor.

Alas, you've gotta pee in a cup. Congratulations on getting in, by the way!

As tphambam said, all you have to do is go to the second floor of the health building (the lab will be the first door to the left from the elevators). After that, you fill up the cup and pay downstairs at the desk.

To "register as a student," go to the student health website, online services, and login. Fill out/check the three forms there.

Has anyone done the physical and titer at SJSU? If so, what were the prices?

I can't believe we have PAY for peeing in a cup! and

I believe we also pay for background checks...

Im going to be broke before I would even earn...

Aww thankyou! your so sweet, yes, they will email you, then they will send you a letter, but I haven't recieved mine yet

Background check was $75, if I recall correctly. Those two combined barely scrape the surface, too, given that the ATI order you have to place costs even more.

You can do it with your family doctor, but you are required to submit a health statement signed by a physician. You also need to get your blood drawn to check the state of your immunization. SJSU offers both services, so it'd be convenient to get them done there if you have time constraints/lack medical insurance.

Yeah thanks for all your input I really appreciate it. I hope there will be more spots since Sac State and SF announced whos going to be in their program this week. So when did you get that email?

BigCatMeows, I'll be consulting Student Health about the services come Monday, so I'll let you know about the prices sometime after then.
