Hi everyone! It's great to be part of a thread like this. :)

I have applied to the PCU, both unit based and residency, at Grossmont. I adore that hospital, so am really hoping!

Good luck to all of you. :) All of US!

Has anyone gotten a call for a phone interview yet?

That would be really fast if they start phone interviews! I have been told that May through July they would start contacting people. Perhaps I heard wrong?

Also, on their website it says that interviews are scheduled for May-July 2012.

Still waiting!!!! I hope we get contacted sooner rather than later!!

Sharp's pretty known to have a long drawn out process so it just might be better for our psyche to just put it out of our minds for awhile lol.

I applied for the winter 2009/2010 program, application was submitted in early October, got the email saying my application was forwarded to the manager on 11/13, didn't get a call till 11/18 for the interview. But every unit is different. Keep busy!! Def will keep time going by faster. :)

Hi all,

I just got word last night from an inside source who is close to those who decide....Sharp filed almost all the spots from internal employees and only have 1-2 spots to the outside. I think those who are being chosen for interviews have already been contacted. Now, this is not 100% confirmed, but I have heard it from two different (unrelated) inside sources.

It's not looking good....sorry everyone. We are all in the same boat. Lets hang in there. :nurse:

Well if this is true, this is very unfortunate. So sad.

Wow... that is sad. I was really hoping to get into Sharp, since I've worked there for over a year and love it.

Keep your head up, everyone. We'll get interviews somewhere! :)

Thanks for the update. Even though that sucks, it's nice to know I can move on.
