I don't think there is a thread started yet. Who's applying?

Hi shye! Are you applying to ARC too? I just did and the enrollment prescreening form wasn't "form fillable" so I just printed it out an filled it in by hand. Just wondering if anyone else had the same experience.

Thanks!

Yes! I waited all day for them to replace it with a more user friendly one =/ In the end, I just marked and highlighted my boxes and put my total points at the bottom (80 as I calculated them). I sent it off in the mail this morning! I'm assuming it will go to "Application Received" if everything is copasetic...

I think ARC will be hardest to get into since most of their top 30% will be made up of 5-or-more-time applicants... Boo.

I'm a veteran... Probably the only difference :)

Oh I see. My husbands a veteran but I guess he had to be disabled in order do me to be able to get those points. Rather my hubby not be disabled!

Thank you for your service :)

Oops *for

Thanks CJR :)

I didn't realize the requirements for spouses are so strict! That's lame =/ At least it doesn't matter for Delta!

Hi everyone first time posting here, I applied for 2013 for the San joaquin ADN program and have applied to CSU Stanislaus and modesto Junior college twice. I'm pretty nervous waiting to hear back I turned in all my transcripts and everything but added up all my points and it seems I'm around 63-64 points. My sciences are 4.0 but i got B's in english and math and a C in nutrition :( My TEAS score isn't amazing either I didn't get to study and only got a 77.3%. I'm nervous and want to get in! I am getting too old waiting to get in to a program. Good luck to everyone and hopefully we hear back soon!

Good luck! From what others have said 63-64 is good! Is this your first time applying to delta?

Also, I like your username haha I'm pronouncing it in my mind "Soup Deezy" :)

Yes this is my first time applying to delta! I feel ok about it being asked to turn in my paper work but seeing others tally up scores to 80 points make me seem like I'm headed to the alternate list at best :/ and thank you unfortunately my name isn't quite that cool lol. My last name is Campbell and I drive a z28 camaro. I made it up years ago and it is easier just to keep that then keep tabs on which name I used for which site/ board lol.

Thanks CJR :)

Just turned in my app at ARC and I was only the 9th person to turn in an app! Last semester I turned in my app on the second day and I was the 60th! I'm thinking a lot fewer people are applying! We will see!!! Ahhh such a long wait ahead!!

Hi everyone! Haven't been on in a while. Just stopping in to say hello and good luck to all the new members!! So many great scores out there, positive thoughts for all! Getting closer :)

@FullofFaith thank you so much for posting all the info about books. It was very helpful! Wish you all the best in your program!

the fundamentals of nursing is the package you'll need first. i would NOT buy it online, i only trusted bookstore for the bundles. the fund of nursing comes with text book, the checklist for skills, dvds you need to learn the skills. the med/surg package is not needed until the second half of the semester, so if you're low on cash you can wait to buy that. it has a bunch of textbooks and workbooks. good news is that after the startup costs, there aren't too many books needed after that. the majority of the entire 2 yearss will use the med/surg.
