Was looking around and couldn't find a thread for this.

Has anyone else applied to this program & which campus did you pick for first choice?

No luck with finding the group or sending a PM to you. Apparently you have to have 15 posts before you can send or receive messages. Grrrrrrrrr! Is it possible to post the link and I can request to join before the link is taken down?

Hello! Congrats to all of you that were accepted for the Spring 2012 ABSN program! I was accepted as well so I am totally excited yet frantic with everything that needs to be planned as I'm sure you all are.

I will be commuting from Milpitas and going to the San Mateo campus so my commute shouldn't be too bad except for all the traffice along the way. Anyone hear about how the clinicals will be scheduled?

Along with that can I be added to the Facebook group? I would love to keep in touch with you all as we go through the program. Thanks!

Hi Elias! Clinicals won't start until after the first five weeks of classroom/lab time. I've heard they will either be Wednesday/Thursday, Thursday/Friday, or (more rarely) Saturday/Sunday. They're usually 7-3, but can also be 3-11. They also rotate every five weeks to coincide with our courses (which I think also change every five weeks). Hope that helps!

Hello all :)

The CPR course required for the program is American Heart Association BLS for healthcare providers not American Red Cross for healthcare providers. I've had to do quite a bit of digging to find a class locally so I thought I'd fill you in :) this was one of the many requirements I could not get taken care of with my short notice fall acceptance so I wanted to give you a heads up!

Looks like we probably won't be starting clinicals until late February then? According to the academic calendar have a "break" 2/9-2/18.

Do we know what the other requirements we have to fulfill before classes start are?

Yep, I think that's right - already looking forward to that break! Are you on the FB group page? I just asked that same question about requirements. I'd like to get them done as early as possible!
