Sac state (CSUS) nursing spring 2013

U.S.A. California

Hey, is anyone applying to sac state for spring 2012? Do you think it will be easier to get into since they won't accept any non-sacstate students? What do u think the cut off will be?

Sorry for all these questions. Has anyone taken the TEAS v? if so, what was your score? how did you study? and for how long. I am taking the test in 3 weeks. i am nervous

alam, where did you order your stethescope from? I think I might just order it through the school if the discount isn't that much off?

And okay crebs, so the Kaiser stuff i printed off from god know's where isn't the right stuff so i should just disregard it? =]

ALSO, where is the VA hospital anyway? I live in Rocklin, far far away lol. I'm really bummed i didn't get Roseville Sutter, that would have been so close to me and perfect. =[ I wonder how they choose which sections we get into for clinicals? I guess we shall see!

Also, I signed up for CNSA, it was $70 for 2 years, is anyone thinking of signing up as well?

It's not a huge discount, but it's 67.00 if we bulk order + small amount for shipping depending on how many we have. The good thing is the engraving is free which we don't get when we order through the school. That's a plus as I've heard people's stethoscopes suddenly grow legs. I've heard of people having to purchase them several times.

Yep, you can just forget about the kaiser forms that you printed before. The VA hospital is out near mather field. I was hoping for UC Davis because it's closer to me, but oh well. I think the VA hospital actually has a back road I can take to get there without hitting traffic. Maybe they just randomly assigned sections. I wish we had the option to choose. I haven't considered joining CNSA. I'm not sure what benefit we get from it.

i believe they assign the clinical sections at random during the first semester and the VA is on Mater. :)

Mater?

Oh I got it. lol. So do we have different clinical assignments in other semesters?

I got it from medisave.net for $76 total including the shipping and free engraving. I just wanted the engraving so I got it there instead of CNSA. I did actually thought about joining and was halfway through the application process when I realized there was a membership fee, so I was like "neh, maybe later after I learn more about it". I submitted the kaiser paper also and it says good until dec 31. You probably got it from Magnus cus that's where I got it. But I guess I have to fill another one out soon

Yeah we get a different clinical every semester, said a friend of mine

i mean Mather.

Alam, Did you end up getting the Master or just the Classic? I hear the master is the preferred. I am trying to save money where ever i can!

I got the classic. I've read reviews and I hear its just as good

NicolR have you done the VA paperwork yet? I turned mine in today, but I didn't see any signature page for that overview file. Were you able to find one? I just went ahead and turned in my packet without it.

Also, if you're trying hard to save money, you don't HAVE to have a littman. There are much cheaper stethoscopes available, and some people claim they're just as good as the littman's. There's stuff on the forums about them.

I got section 7

You're luck you'll have your days a little less packed! I'm happy to get Fridays off, but it will be nice for you to not have to cram stuff into 4 days.
