Sac state (CSUS) nursing spring 2013

Hey, is anyone applying to sac state for spring 2012? Do you think it will be easier to get into since they won't accept any non-sacstate students? What do u think the cut off will be?

Sorry for all these questions. Has anyone taken the TEAS v? if so, what was your score? how did you study? and for how long. I am taking the test in 3 weeks. i am nervous

Thanks for the tip on the health insurance!

Anyone else here in need of a room? Will be looking for places to rent when I head back up next week.

Crebs,

Thanks but I'm thinking about getting the students Health plan at sac state for 65/month. I've been looking into it so if anyone else needs health insurance at a cheaper rate research student health plan at campus. I actually have an appointment today for my TB skin test. So maybe we can meet for the titer

OK I researched the school's plans again and I don't see anything for $65 a month. What's the name of the plan?

When i looked at the school plan, it was $120 or so.

For anybody here who is on the waiting list and thinks they have a shot of getting in, I would start working on the following things now just in case you're accepted and only have a short time to get these things done:

1) CPR for Healthcare Providers (Through Red Cross or the American Heart Association)

2) Immunizations:

Mumps, Rubeola (Measles), Rubella (german Measles) [alltogether called MMR vaccine]

TDaP

Varicella zoster (chicken pox) or a titer if you had the disease as a child

Two step PPD

Hepatitis B

Seasonal Influenza Vaccine

3) Health Insurance

4) Car Insurance

Oh cool, I thought they weren't going to have them there yet. I'm going to head over on Monday around 12:30. Since you tried them on do you think I'll be able to size myself well if I'm in the process of losing like 15 lbs? I don't want to get one that fits me now only to have it not fit me later. Or even worse, I get a smaller size thinking I'll fit into it and I never actually get skinny enough for them to fit me!

Yeah it was like 2 sizes bigger than my regular clothes. I usually wear S/M but I had to get XXS, Im only 5 feet and weight about 115 maybe you could just get one size smaller. You have to try them on and decide for yourself

Let me find that insurance website again. I found that I have benefits under CMISP program until June 2013 and they said it was okay for me to use that.

So is anybody interested in ordering in bulk for certain items to get a discount? I'm thinking of the following:

Stethoscope

shoes (Danskos or Santinas)

Pen Lights

Kelly Forceps

Bandage Scissors

and all the other stuff listed on that cnsa order form (besides the name badge of course)

And there is some store that offers 20% off to sac state nursing students

Okay so my mistake, the insurance wasn't from Sac State. It's called The Student Health Plan Basic from Next Generation Insurance Group. It is $68.50/month, it is a lot cheaper than most insurance. Go to Health Insurance - Find Affordable Health Insurance Plans and Buy Medical Coverage Online (I dont know if you could see the link). then go under "Individual & Family > Student Health Insurance. I have a feeling it is different for everyone since they ask you for your information before you can enter the website. Good luck!

That plan has super high coinsurance! And there are no preventative benefits. You also have no out of pocket maximum. Check out the health net plan. You can get it through that site as well. Sure it's $15 bucks more, but you get two cheap office visits per year and preventative care which will be great if you get sick for any reason or to help with prevention.

Master Classic II stethoscopes are 67.00 each including free engraving if we get a bulk order. If you're interested let me know I'm going to place the order later this week.

Where are you placing the bulk order from?

Medisave.net. I've been told we don't have to purchase the exact stethoscopes on the cnsa order form, but after researching I feel the Littman classic II se is the best deal for what you get. You can certainly find cheaper stethoscopes, unfortunately from what I can tell they won't be as good.
