RN-New Grad Versant Ukiah Valley Medical Center

U.S.A. California

Hi has anyone applied to this program? Their application asked a lot of questions about prayer with patients and prayer before meetings. They also ask if you've ever worked for a seventh-day adventist hospital before. My main concern is that they won't hire me because I am not a seventh day adventist or particularly religious.

Anyways, I didn't see this a thread for this program so I thought I'd go ahead and start one.

I was thinking the same thing, but surely they had more than 237 applicants! I think they're also counting on people not wanting to drive out there. It's an 8 hour drive for me but it would be worth it if I got hired.

Here's to hoping 237 goes down to a smaller number haha

Got the email and my flight!

I asked the alternate RN recruiter if it would be possible to send them in ourselves and without being personalized. Haven't heard back yet.

Because, honestly, as long as the letter is about you it doesn't need to be personalized for the hospital! :-p

I agree, but you know how they are nowadays. They can ask for anything they want at this point. I feel bad about having to ask for new letters at such short notice, but what can you do?

Shrug. We'll see what they say. I'm holding off before I hear something. :-)

Does anyone remember which units are hiring new grads?

Specializes in LTC.

All residencies are for med-surg.

I spoke with HR today. They would highly prefer to have the letters of rec by the 28th, but understand it is late notice, so they are accepting them til June 3rd at the latest. Also, June 3rd is the only day they are doing interviews.

What number did you call because I've been trying to call the person that emailed us but no response. Do you know if we can just send the letters rather than having the people recommend us send it?

Hello guys,

I got a call earlier today for an interview tomorrow. Just wondering if any of you received any calls....

@ rmoltio78

Hi, how did you get the interview?

@ ladybug75

I filled out the application online and I RSVP for the open house on May 28t. I got a call from the RN recruiter to set up a phone interview with her and the Director of nursing.
