    Hi everyone, I am new to Private Duty Nursing and a family wants to hire me as a private nurse, I am a nurse for 10yrs working as an RN and I live in SF, CA. Please let me know how much a Private Duty Nurse hourly rate would be? Thank You.

    First, will you be working for the family or be being paid through the patients insurance? I'd definitely make sure you have some of your own nursing insurance if you will be the family employee. Also are you an RN or an LPN?
    Ps I live in San Francisco too.
