Patient rights violation?

I work as a CNA in a long term acute care facility in CA and I have a pt that is upset because they were recently told (disposable underwear) would no longer be ordered and they will have no choice but to wear the adult diapers. They have worn the underwear for the entire duration of their stay and bladder wise nothing has changed other than day time Cnas refusing to change them unless in their bed. I kinda feel denying pt the incontinence underwear hurts their dignity. They are 100% alert and aware of person/place/time. Maybe I'm being too sensitive?

Pt recently started sitting in wc for upwards of 11 hrs vs 6 hrs but also ordered their own seat cushion to protect against sore butt.
