Pasadena City College Fall 2014 Application

U.S.A. California

Published

Hello,

I applied at PCC for their fall 2014 generic application and is just curious if anyone who has applied received any acceptance emails yet? Also I was told that if I have not taken the TEAS yet and if accepted to the program I have two weeks to take it. Is it best to take it before knowing if you're in the program or wait until the acceptance email?

Thank you!

You could take if it you want. But only if you feel prepared to...

Obviously the higher the score the better on it. Each school has different minimums acceptance scores on the teas (or hesi a2) ...if you think you can score around what you want I'd say feel free to take it I'm advance it shouldn't hurt you.

Keep In mind that although you can retake the teas multiple times ...schools will only accept the FIRST score that you took within the past year. (Hence why I recommend taking it when you feel prepared)

I took the TEAS a couple of weeks ago to get it out of the way. PCC told me to expect an email sometime in May. Let me know if you hear anything

Hello , I applied also for fall 2014 and I haven't received an email nor a letter ! It's so nerve racking waiting for an acceptance letter ! I took the teas before submitting my application. I suggest you start studying a week in advance of taking it. That's what I did and I got an nice average score . Hopefully we all get accepted for fall 2014

Hi Krys22

I have been studying from the study guides. I'm just worried that the test will be harder than it is in the study guide. How did you feel when taking the TEAS?

The test was similar to the study guide however I stopped going over the study guide and just went over the chapters in the book . I suggest you study the science portion the most because it seems that most people do worst on that part . I know I did and I have finished all pre req science course lol math is easy and reading is also easy; however , English can be tricky so I suggest you study the English portion as well esp how words are spelled and the rules to grammar etc . So I suggest study the science and English ! Math and reading are pretty easy if you freshen up on them (: hope this helped
