  1. I just got offered a part time (RN-24 hours per week) at Kaiser Permanent in Richmond, CA. I have 3 years experience. What is the hourly pay? Night shift differential?

They didn't provide that information when they offered you the position? I've never been offered a position and not given the benefit information, pay included, before I was expected to make a decision. That is vital information, I personally would call HR back ASAP and ask. You need to know to make an informed decision.

Thanks for the reply. I am waiting to get a formal reply from HR. I guess I really just want to know how much RN's make at Kaiser Permanente in Richmond, CA? Also, what is night differential?

I don't know about Richmond but here in Los Angeles, Kaiser is one of the highest paying hospitals, with new grads starting around $45/hr so I can only assume an experience RN is making $50+. But the cost of living in the area is a big factor so those figures may not be applicable to Richmond. I hope it meets your expectations and congrats on the job offer!

There's a big difference between pay rates for Nor cal and so cal. Like 20$ an hour difference. Never understood it because most of it isn't any cheaper to live in.

Currently, base pay is around $60+/hr with NOC differential being 18% of that. It's in the union book so I don't think it's a huge secret. HR will let you know the salary.
