Register Today!- Sep 3, '12 by bbaileyRNQuote from nursej252Your little success story really is encouraging! Just hoping that my job is right around the corner tooGot a call on Tuesday, interviewed Wednesday...called my references Thursday and I was hired by Friday. Still in shock...just this past Monday I was almost in tears sitting in my kitchen stripped of all hope. To all you out there who didn't get an interview/position, keep your head high!! In the big scheme of your life a few more months job searching wont seem like a big deal. You have your WHOLE life ahead of you. Best of luck to everyone.
- Dec 25, '12 by Just4KixsHi, I'm curious as to what were all of the choices that they gave new grads? And for ICU, was it the IICU or the MSICU?
Thanks! - Feb 20 by RosieRose34Hi bayareastudent0711! I have a interview coming up for a rehab dept and I was just wondering what kinds of questions they asked you for this new grad program and for the rehab unit? Thank you!

- Feb 22 by bayareastudent0711Goodluck! Hope this doesn't reach you too late!
Be prepared with some standard questions. Its going to be the same questions they ask other candidates.
Why the VA? What do you have to offer/what makes you stand out/why should we hire you/ what characteristic do you have that will help our unit?
Be prepared for some clinical scenarios. I don't remember if I had some actually, but clinical scenarios are always in 3parts, to observe our critical thinking skills. What do you assess/see/observe/expect to see? What would you do? What is the outcome?
Be confident. and KNOW your resume. Sometimes they will refer to your resume and ask you questions about your experience to make it more personal.
And don't get nervous when they write things down. They will be there with a pad and paper and will write notes in your file while you are talking. Just be confident, and try to connect with them. - Feb 22 by hippieRNQuote from bayareastudent0711Thanks, bayareastudent, great info!Goodluck! Hope this doesn't reach you too late!
