Specializes in ICU's,TELE,MED- SURG.

I am a Travel Nurse from Florida. I am planning to stay w/my Uncle in North Hills. I have an excellent job with Nova Pro which is owned by Cross Country and they have tons of positions in Cali.

The problem is I am hopeful that someone can list the nearby hospitals so that I can choose which one to work at and hopefully the hospital is traveler friendly and pays well.

I am looking for no more than a 30 minute drive tops and less would be best since I am looking to stay as close to home base as possible.

Thanks!!!!

Stacy

Well from North Hills it depends on the shift you work. A hospital very nearby will be the only way to avoid a long commute if you work day shift. For nights there are many fine hospitals on the west side or downtown. You will be driving the opposite direction to the VERY slow traffic.

What is your specialty?

Do you prefer a community or large teaching hospital?

Specializes in ICU's,TELE,MED- SURG.

I saw that a Keiser hospital in Panorama City was 8 minutes away per Yahoo map.

I don't care if it is big or small hospital size-wise. My specialty is ICU.

Where do you suggest for good money and not a long commute?

Specializes in Nurse Anesthetist.

Kaiser in Pan City is a small hospital. I did a clinical rotation there in my nurses anesthetist program. I only know the OR, but they were rather nice people.
