Need help with nursing major

U.S.A. California

Hello. I'm currently taking my nursing prereqs, and this is the last semester I need before I can apply for the program. The problem is, my GPA isn't necessarily the best, only slighty above 3.0 and I really do want to get in but I'm afraid my grades won't be good enough. So my question is, what other college majors can i work on that has similar prereqs as nursing so I can start working on them while I wait to get into the program. Because I really dont want to sit around and wait too long, when I can start workign on a double major. Thanks in advance

Hello,

I would like to suggest looking into a good PA program, Physical therapy, etc.

I think you have a good shot with a GPA of 3.0 or above. Hang in there and good luck

Thanks, I'll look into it.

is the 3.0 your pre-req gpa or cumulative?

cumulative

cumulative

check your schools. mine only took the pre-reqs into account as far as gpa is concerned. my cumulative was barely a 3.0 and pre-reqs were 3.67 and i got in.

best of luck to you.

I agree, check your schools. Some of the only admit half of the class based on GPA alone, the other half get in via lottery. Don't get discouraged, my gpa was never great, and I just finished my ADN program in May.
