Hello, I have a question. I am an ADN RN with 2 years experiance. I will be relocating to Sacramento soon but I cant find any reliable salary info. I need to know what RN's in the Sacramento area are making.

I know you stated that you just got a job at Kaiser, but can you compare your experiences between there and UCD when you get the opportunity? I'm not vested yet but wondering if it's worth moving on elsewhere when going back up north.
I haven't started kaiser yet so am unable to provide a comparison. All I can say is the income difference is significant although the pension is minimal.

Does Kaiser openly share their pension and stuff openly online? I always figured UC was among the better, even ever so slightly compared to the VA.

I got hired in CA as an ADN...but I also had specialty certification.
Unfortunately, most places do want to see a BSN: I received one rejection specifically because I lacked that degree--the interview told me herself that was why I wasn't going to get hired. She had "wasted" her time interviewing me because for some reason she thought I had it.
No, uc has great benefits but if you are only working at a facility for the pension you might be surprised how many burnt out individuals you work with. I love ER but I'm not going to be miserable for 30 years as my fellow nurses were just to be set in retirement.
Ah. I figured moving up north I can hop around the UCs first, get vested, go back to school and see from there. I ask cause I wouldn't mind working for Kaiser in northern California. Seems to be a joke in the south though, atleast in San Diego.
