This is a discussion on Mount St. Mary's College Los Angeles - Accelerated BSN applicants for Summer 2013. I was not able to find any discussion forums on this, so I thought I would start one!

I have recently applied to MSM's accelerated BSN program for Summer 2013...and I wanted to see if there is anyone else out there as eager as I am to hear back! :)

when I called them this afternoon, they said it's going out in the morning... So we should be getting it this week...

I received an email today saying that the packets were mailed out this morning along with more information on what our next steps would be. I will b seeing all of you on April 5th for the uniform fitting and for a math exam!

yeay! so glad we are continuing forward. i'm hoping this math test is somewhere along the equivalent of what was on the TEAS test in which case: easy-peasy. cant wait to meet everyone!!!!

Yes, I believe you're allowed to take Taylor online concurrently with summer sem, but you HAVE to finish it by Aug 26 I was told. I'm wondering why I still havent received my financial aid packet yet... I called them & they said it was mailed last Friday & I've been waiting since today.... I'm only by West LA.

Hopefully you got the packet by now. If you go the portal and look under financial aid by term and go by summer 13....you should see how much you get. Now I am going thru the packet and have to figure out the "Loan Entrance Counseling Instructions." BTW, your award letter you need to sign and send it back by April 15.

I got my financial aid packet and had some questions... When I called the person I spoke with didn't answer questions very well and seemed quite unsure of his answers. Guess ill pop in this week and see what other info I can find.

oh well. mail came today already for me in Long Beach. No packet yet. Why are we all so anxious about these packets? We are already accepted and we got that email telling us a lot of the things to expect. Anywayssss...found that darn elusive yellow immunization card..probably will need lots of shots and updated ones too. Can I learn to give myself a shot? : )

I've been accepted as well yay! So far I've received the tshirt package and the financial aid letter. I got to get crackin on the Taylor University thing though, sounds like it is much better to take it now than once school starts. I'll be commuting in from San Gabriel! Anybody have any other info on the Bioethics class?

Hi Mechanized I need to start on the Taylor University work as well! I'm from Temple City so you live super duper close to me!

I have started the Taylor class, I think it wont be too hard, just need motivation to do it. I would recommend getting the books, they weren't that expensive on Amazon, but so far I have found them to be helpful. I know that it will be better to just get it done now than later when we are way busier! Also, I still cant get my email to work and I have tried everything! Suggestions?

Snowyshan: ourbaba posted some links regarding the email a couple of posts back. Click on the first link as it'd open a pdf file. From there, open the link that's on the top of the pdf file and you should be able to activate your email that way. It was the only way to get mine to work so I hope it works for you as well! Hope this helps!
