I wanna thank you all for the time and wealth of knowledge you share freely on this forum.

I am interested in learning more about the relationship between Kaiser in LA or SF and it's employees. Times are getting toucher economically and some moving around from my home State to California is a real possibility. I am a registered nurses with 7years in critical care so any info will be highly appreciated

I am a kaiser employee in northern california and will be transferring to southern california.

Of course they do! Most hospitals do. In fact Kaiser in San Fran and Kaiser in Oakland do too.

I don't work as a nurse for Kaiser but I do know they have 12 hour shifts.

12 hour shifts are capped by the CNA contract. Mostly 8 hour shifts at Kaiser.

Studies indicate errors increase after 8 hours. So the majority of shifts at Kaiser in No. Cal. are 8 hour. Thank CNA, for strong patient advocacy.

Yes, there are 12 hours shift in ICU but there are still 8 hours. SO there are some RN who works 7-3, 3-11 and 11-7. Just worked there doing 12's

I work at Kaiser (not as a RN) and they post their jobs including nurses internally first. If no one accepts the positions, then they go to the outside. I know Sacramento has a lot of RN jobs.
