John Muir Fall 2012- New Grad

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey was wondering if anyone got a phone call for John Muir New grad program in Walnut Creek???

Any insight into the process would much appreciated!!!

For those that got a 2nd interview...

Do you guys have any prior health care experience? What do you think made you stand out from all other applicants?

Thanks!

I cyberstalked the nurse recruiter until she gave me a shot. And dumb luck.

Are you no longer going to the panel interview???

I still am. I was just wondering what people's backgrounds were (that got the interview) because there were so many that were initially rejected including those who volunteered for the organization itself.

I would like to congratulate everyone landing an interview and to those moving on with the interview process! It's always exciting news! I am hoping for the best for you guys!

For those that have been selected, are your GPA's above a 3.5? Did you do your preceptorship at John Muir? or volunteer? Also, do you know if they have contacted all 60 applicants to interview? My application status has been 'under review' since I applied with no calls yet.

Thank you so much in advance.

UCLA_PEDS,

Yes, my GPA was > 3.5. I had no affiliation with John Muir whatsoever.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe everyone has been contacted for an initial interview. Everyone's going on forth with the 2nd interview.

I do wish you the best of luck!

Did anyone else get an email from the recruiter about some of the panel interviews being rescheduled??

Thank you for replying healthcare4life! I'm crossing fingers for you, and I wish you the best of luck as well. =D

Yes, I did. I believe everyone did. Did yours get rescheduled to another date?

As far as your application status, the best thing to do is contact the recruiter. Good luck!

No mine remained the same. Was yours? I wonder how long panels will be running? With 60 of us I am hoping its not going to take months!

I also had a GPA >3.5, some volunteer work, ACLS, but no affiliation with John Muir what so ever. I did however email recruiters for both concord and walnut creek campuses non-stop till they gave me a shot.

I advice everyone does the same. If we all "annoy" them enough maybe more spots/programs will open up!

Good luck to you!!

Nope, mine stayed the same.

I really don't think the decision will take months. With only 20 min for each interviewee, they can schedule so many people within a day.

Let me know how your interview experience goes! And good luck again :)

Thank you so much for your advice michelichka94! Good luck to you too!!! =D
