O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

Congratulations!! I think a lottery would be so nerve-wracking!

Congratulations!!!

They do a lottery?? I mean that's GREAT for you! Congrats! I just don't know if I could deal with my nerves if I had to do it based on sheer luck instead of a ranking system based on grades/HESI entrance exam stuff, or at least something concrete I could influence .

That's fantastic news!!!! Congratulations :)

Congrats!

You applied at the right time, just 2 years ago, CCSF still had the 80% re-applicants and 20% new applicants slotting (about 400 new applicants competing for 20 seat!).

But only 585 applicants? Last year was around 880--I was in the 300 range and got a call this January to see if I'm "ready to attend" at a moment's notice.

But I had to decline b/c I don't play this at-a-moment's-notice game, besides I had already got accepted to another program.

One more thing, make sure you buy the syllabus and do all the first week's readings in advance. That's my only regret so far, playing catch up is no fun.

Congrats!! Cant wait until Im that close;0)

Oh, it's nerve-wracking for sure! I'm so lucky that I got picked my first time applying. I also applied to another school that I'm waiting to hear back from, but that one is a waitlist. Unfortunately, lots of the ADN programs here in northern CA are either lottery or waitlist.

Most of the ADN programs here in northern CA are either lottery or waitlist. I won't be applying to a BSN program until after I'm an RN for monetary reasons. This is my second career and I have absolutely no desire to have any student loan debt ever again.

Thanks for the tip! Will definitely take that advice :-)

Congratulations!!!! My school accepts 80 per semester but the average gpa is at least a 3.45
