O M G, I am soooo happy right now! Out of 585 applications, my name came up in the first 100, which means I should get into Spring 2014 at CCSF (they pick 50 for fall; 50 for spring). Nothing's set in stone until I get the official letter, but I'm still going to celebrate!!!

For anybody who attended orientation how did it go?!

i was in the 60's

it was ok... alot of info, i was kinda scared at the end since all they talked about was how hard and intense the program is. They gave me hope that CCSF was not closing down. They gave us the first 2 weeks of assignment and believe it or not Exam 1 is on the 2nd week. But all in all just basic info of what to expect and the things we need before we start. I hope you guys get in spring. good luck!!

@maggie

Thanks for sharing how orientation went. Did they talk about the Summer Bridge classes?

Is anyone out there planning on attending the Summer Bridge classes? I think it's Medical Math, College Success, and Medical Terminology. They are all 1 unit classes. And each are only a few weeks long.

I received a letter in the mail offering these Summer Bridge classes to me. It also says you can take these if you are in Fall OR Spring. It says it is not mandatory unless you scored less than 62% on TEAS V. I scored 85%, but I'm wondering if I should take any of these just as a refresher.

Also, since I got this letter, does this mean I at least have a Spring seat?! :)

I was #128 in the lottery and #16 on standby list.

Cool. Did they call you and offer you a spot? I am number 32 on the alternate list, but got into Merritt, but have not heard good things about Merritt. :)

Hi everybody!!

I am anxiously waiting to hear something too!! i was confused about how i was #118 on the lottery results and then i was sent a letter in the mail... The letter saying that i am #6 on the standby list. So, i called the nursing department office and the lady told me that it is because some of the people ahead of me on the lottery results were disqualified for having a low gpa and other disqualifying reasons.. i understand 100 people get accepted: 50 people for fall and 50 for spring. Which means some people ahead of me disqualified and which basically bumped me up to #106 :) i thinkkk....... i hope i get in!! :nailbiting:

Nice. I have a good feeling we will get in for Spring, I hope!

Did you guys get the letter about the Summer Bridge program too?

I can't decide if I should do it or not.

I am number #22 on waitlist still waiting to hear back?!!! I really hope to at least get in for spring!

They haven't called me yet though.

But since I got this letter it's making me think I will at least get a Spring seat. Otherwise, why would they bother inviting me to attend these Summer Bridge classes. It's specifically for the ADN students at CCSF only.

Yeah, I didn't that letter, so you probably have a good chance of getting into spring!! Like you said, otherwise, why send it? :)
