Hi Denise, good luck to u. :) When will be the last day to take the teas?

Thanks for the information! I have been waiting and waiting to hear from GCC! Now, I know...May 10th! I got the TEAS invite, and opened it thinking it was an acceptance/rejection letter since I already sent them my TEAS results. I took the TEAS at COC last month, and have been accepted to their program for Fall. :) However, GCC is my first choice, so fingers crossed...

Ugh, I didn't get an invite. Guess there goes another one. :(

Ok, you guys freaked me out so much I just had to call to find out what was happening. :D

I didn't get a letter but they told me I made the first cut and since I submitted my TEAS scores already I just have to wait to find out if I was chosen or not. Whew. Maybe my letter got delivered to a neighbor or got lost. Good to know I'm still hanging in there!

Haha, sorry if it freaked u out. lol

But it's good to hear that Glendale sent letters already rite? :D

What program did you apply? Day or Night Program ?

I'm flexible so I applied to either one. At this point, I can't be picky!

GCC goes by LOTTERY for qualified ppl, but they also ask if we have any working experience in medical field or volunteer???? !!??? i do not get it AT ALL. :D

Me neither! I really think that the whole lottery system is screwy. I also cannot truly believe that they do a total random lottery. There is no way that any school will want people there who will bring down their NCLEX pass rate. So, I like to believe that they make sure that you have some experience and good grades! Anyway, I am hoping to get into the Night/Weekend class. At least, I got into COC. From what I know, COC does 60 % lottery and 40% merit. I think I got in on merit, but whatever which way, I am just happy to have an acceptance SOMEWHERE! COC had about 350 applicants. They selected 60 for the class, and 30 alternates.

Hey, wait...do you mean that those that have applied to GCC program previously will only get letters on May 10th?? Like, you have higher priority on some waitlist? It is my first time applying anywhere. I am hoping that that doesn't put me farther down on some list at GCC!!

I'm confused if anyone can clear things up. As i read other discussions about GCC people are talking about some time stamp. Is this some kind of previous way of getting into the program that was used? From what I thought is the semester you apply for that is the semester you either get in or not. Am I correct or wrong? Or do you get accepted and then put on a wait list? Any info would be great. I applied and received the invitation letter to take the TEAS test so looking forward to that.
