Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Well I haven't heard any news on picking up a schedule, so although I am sad, I am happy to have made it as far as I did. I will keep on trying until I am accepted. Very happy for those that have made it in. Keep the focus, support, and Faith and you guys and gals will make it through.

That's awesome that you get to save some money on classes bummer we won't have any classes together this quarter but once we hit the third quarter im sure we will all end up together! What is everyones schedule? I have English mon 10-2 and then A&P 2-6, then strategies on wed 10-2 and A&P lab 2-6! Another plus for you is saving some money on childcare! That's why I crammed my classes into two days daycare can get costly for a 2 & 3 year old!
Yeah...I was happy to save that child care money :-)

I'm sooo sorry to hear that...I know exactly how you feel...this is my second year trying, and it's not always been easy..but if nursing is what you want, keep going and you will achieve your goals!!! Good luck and don't give up!!!:-)

Sorry to hear that. :( maybe you'll be put on the backup list and get a call if someone doesn't follow through. If you made it all the way to finance, you are definitely still on their radar. Don't they keep people as rollovers for the next class start date? Maybe you will get in for the July class. Good luck. ;)

who ever showed up with their husband that stopped by our room while we had a study group going, I gave him some good advice that I hope he passes on to you. As for the rest of you guys going to orientation on friday, make sure you guys lift your chairs and not drag them cause I will taking a HESI exam right below you guys and it gets really loud.

Okay. Whoever she spoke with needs to share the wealth. Ha ha. Also, I'll do my best to make sure I remember to pick up the chairs. ;•)

I have been lurking around on this forum for awhile, I didn't want to post anything out of fear of jinxing myself lol.

I am in the same situation as you dreaminofnursing. I had my financial aid appointment on Tuesday. Knowing how last minute it was I called Rachel and left her a voicemail to check my status. I didn't hear back from her so I emailed her this morning, she said I am all good to go just waiting for the final okay from the financial department. She told me when orientation was and to attend because she knows ill be apart of this term. I would email Rachel to see where you are at, it may be they are just waiting for the final okay from financial, so their is still hope!
