Everest College Ontario RN program

U.S.A. California

Hello all,

I know there are already a couple of posts for this school, but reading through the threads I didn't get all the information that I was looking for and considering that they are pretty old threads I made a new one because I didn't think anyone would look at those anymore. I've already completed all my prereqs at a community college, but I don't want to wait around forever to get into the community college rn program.

Anyways, I wanted to find out for those who are already in the program or have the info. What kind of studying should I do for their entrance exam? What kind of stuff comes in the tests. I also would like to know the cost or estimated cost of the school. And how do they go about choosing the students for the program? What exactly is the application process?

I've already called the school, but the lady that answered the phone wasn't able to give me much info except for that info sessions are in August and the program starts up again in January.

And if you are already in the program, I would like to know how to do you find the teachers to be?? Would you say that this is a good academic choice??

Please help me as I live really far away from this school and I am moving out there just for the program. It is a little difficult for me to just drive over to visit the school. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

Aww I'm sorry emt! That really blows. But you know what you pulled through and showed up so maybe it shows them dedication. Keep your head up high and best of luck!

actually they told me they were gonna be interviewing well into mid december, they told me to expect a call towards the end of december once they are finished with all interviews.

Ya they told me the same thing. They said to expect a call sometime around christmas. I think it'll be a little after since they kind of lag it a bit. But man almost time. Its been a long 4 months!

ohhh...then i probably misunderstood, just a few more weeks!!!

All I know is if I get chosen for the program and get in, it will be the best birthday gift ever! hahaha my birthday is on the 26 of december and i told my parents that all i wanted for xmas and my birthday was to get into the program. :p

I would like to first start off by saying thank you to the person that started this post, it is great! :) I am going to be applying for the July 2011 class, I am so serious about getting in I am already studying my A&P, BIO, CHEM ect. now! I called them and they said for the next orientation for this upcoming class starts in Feb. and that they will be doing the testing in March :) I do have a question for the current students there or someone that has recently gone to the orientation:

If you have none of your Preq's done what is the total cost of the program? I heard someone say roughly 50 grand but I have heard that they raised the price a bit? I just want to go into it knowing because I have used about 10 grand in student loans so I need to know if I may have an out of pocket cost after loans and financial aid. Thanks! :)

  • Hi all, I was the first interview on the first day and was told that around the 15th of December we would get a call or a letter. But since there were sooooo many of us probably most likey before Christmas. Hang in there everyone, always keeping in mind that a no from Everest doesn't end our nursing dreams just opens doors to other possibilities (even though I really want to get in:))

Noone knows how much exactly the program will cost after your done with your prereqs, they have to first look at your transcripts and then evaluate your classes and see if they are the same ones they want, then they tell you when you go to financial aide how much it will cost you. i'm estimating around 30 thousand dollars.
