CSULB Fall 2012 BSN

U.S.A. California

Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

I am utterly and completely speechless. No, not really...

I need to be careful because I don't want to get banned form this site due to excessive expletives, but &%*&^%^&$%^#$%^#!!!!

This is what I don't understand. As a nation that prides itself on education and the future of students, why would voters vote for these cuts time and time again? What is it that they are getting from taking money away from our education? Are they getting this money? Is it being allocated elsewhere? What few areas are more important than education?

I'm just saddened and angered by all of this. We're basically leaving the fate of our education in the hands of people who give less than 2 *&%*&s about us! Absolutely disgusting and ridiculous.

dont get me started on how this state and its political and socioeconomic issues

Emails at CSU East Bay just came out yesterday afternoon, so I am pretty sure we are going to hear from LB very soon.

Oh, and nowadays, a lot of schools are gradually also doing the same thing regarding Spring Admissions. If you are a transfer student, chances of applying to a Spring Program maybe very low. However, I do know that there are a few schools that still may continue to accept for Spring, like SF state, but again, the numbers are starting to dwindle down.

@Clueless: And yes, whole budget cut crap sucks because it all depends on the tax payers and voters of CA. I don't know why CA has so many issues with education. Education should be one of the most funded out of everything else. Considering the fact that CA has the most schools in the country, we shouldn't have these issues. But hey, its just how it is .. I guess...

Good luck to you all! I just graduated from CSULB's nursing program this past December. It was the hardest 3 years of my life with plenty of sacrifices but well worth it. Let me know of you guys have any questions or need help with anything!

@Jayelle314 I just PMed you with some questions. :)

@Spiffyness, I just responded. I hope the information helps :) Good luck!

Umm, apparently those rumors are false. They will be taking applications for Spring 2013. They just won't be taking in transfers which we collectively determined and assumed a long time ago.

I was checking previous threads from CSULB Fall 2011. They called 25 transfer students who got accepted on April 20th. But they were still interviewing other applicants from CSULB pre-nursing students. On April 27th, they responded other students by e-mail if they are accepted or rejected. However, there were still 26 spots available until mid May. Some got accepted during May and June. They don't respond to all students at the same time. In my case, I applied for second Bachelor's degree. I am expecting to graduate this May, so I may not hear from them until I actually graduate. They said that they accept a student for second bachelors degree only if their overall GPA is higher than 3.7. I am not doing well in this semester. One of my professors hates me. My GPA may become lower (I may get a C.) My pre-requisite GPA is 4.0 though. Now I feel like I shouldn’t expect a good new. I just have to hope that I can at least graduate this May.

Shouldn't we be comparing times with Spring 2012, and not Fall 2011?

Well anyway, someone in this thread said we are getting news by this Monday. I'm expecting another long weekend.

CluelessNursingGuy.. where did you get this info? I checked on the csulb nursing website and under the APPLICATIONS link, it states :The School of Nursing WILL NOT be accepting undergraduate or graduate applications for Spring 2013.

Did talk to someone directly from the nursing department?

My friend went in and asked on Wed. They said it was transfers only.
