Hi!

I think the CSULB School of nursing recently post new pool statistics including those who were chosen for Fall 2011.

Knowing that the rating average is 8.91/10, that seems like a huge difference than the previous semesters!

Anyone else planning to apply to CSULB Fall 2012 BSN program?

Yeah your instructor seems really laid-back, but too bad I have the best one. ;)

I need to study up on ELISA. It still confuses me, especially interpreting the graphs. I'm worried about information on exam #1 as well. I forgot a lot of it.

At least you'll be retaking the TEAS at the end of finals week and then you can enjoy your break.

Haha, I wouldn't doubt it. Nothing against my lab instructor though :p

Hmm I haven't gotten to reviewing the ELISA yet. Still studying the first exam notes. Do you happen to remember the stain used for fungi? Or is it just wet mount preparation?

We used a wet mount for fungi. Don't forget about germ tubes.

Germ tubes? Don't remember that

Germ tubes are produced by Candida albicans from incomplete budding. Once nutrients are finished, germ tubes penetrate and look for new nutrient sources. We had to count them under a microscope on the first exam. Does it sound familiar now?

Are you referring to the psuedohyphae?

No, pseudophypahe are different from germ tubes. If germ tubes do show up on the exam again, at least you'll know what they are.

Yeah, I remember the question on the exam and I know I got it right, I just don't remember calling them germ tubes haha. Chlamydospores maybe?

I'm positive they are called germ tubes. As long as you get it right on the exam, that's all that matters!

Don't sweat guys! Micro is fun. I took micro and physiology last spring and it wasn't too bad. I took all written finals for both ( we had a choice for all essay questions or all multiple choice). I picked the harder of the two and got As. You guys will be fine! Good luck!

Thanks for the support beach! How was the final for you clueless?

I hope I'm wrong, but that didn't go well for me. I didn't have enough time for the enterotube question and that station alone was 7 points!!! :smackingf I found myself "BSing" a lot of questions. I was honestly unsure of my answers for a lot of them. The exam was definitely harder than the first two. Now I have to cram even harder for the lecture final! Ughh! :banghead:

How did it go for you? I hope you found it much easier than I did.
