Hi Everyone!

I see that there is no thread for the cohort for Spring 2015 for the ABSN Program yet! So this is my official attempt at making a thread for it! Please use this thread as a place for comments, questions and admission decision updates! I actually have been offered conditional acceptance already and would love to meet future classmates! Thanks guys!

I have been studying like mad to take mine this weekend. I have been out of school a very long while so I am just plane old scared.

I AM actually wondering if there is still space in the spring 2015 cohort.

I received a 96.4 I believe. I actually thought it was a fair test. If you order the McGraw hill practice exams- they are representative of the true exam.

I would really doubt the spring cohort is already full. They just recently started admitting and the cohort doesn't begin until January. I bet they still have plenty of space.

I am using the ATI manual, and online practice test. I am just a nervous test taker. I really hope I become your classmates.

I fully agree. I also used McGraw Hill to study. If you can, just borrow study guides from the library and also look for previous versions. I have also heard good things about the ATI manual. I think it gives you more of a comprehensive review compared to others. Since your test is this weekend, I recommend taking as many practice exams as you can (the more questions you do, the better). As they say, in order to learn something, practice, practice, practice.

Yay! 2015 thread is up. I take my TEAS on Wednesday. Hopefully I'll do well and be able to get into CSUSM.

I actually bought the McGraw-Hill's book but I tend to find errors in it. :\ Graphs are missing information or not even completely drawn out. :( Maybe I got a bad batch.

Hey everyone!

I just submitted my application and everything last week...I was having majoe technical difficulties which is annoying. The application wasn't working for me for like a month, but its finally all taken care of. From what I've read it looks like its taken different amounts of time for everyone to get evaluations and acceptance letters, etc. I spoke with someone last week and they said that the cohort for Spring 2015 is still open and they are still accepting people. I am worried though that it will take while for them to process my app. and then it'll be full.

What did some of you mean by conditional acceptance? Is that what everyone gets? Or you were accepted as long as you did a few more things?

Yes, everyone receives a conditional acceptance, with the firm acceptance pending results of background check and submitting your intent to enroll. I had some issues with the glitches too and was on the phone with them often to make sure everything was updated - I advise you keep in touch with them until it's complete. Good luck!

Hi everyone! I submitted my application a few weeks ago and am working on sending all of my transcripts. I only have one pre-req left which is a physiology lab class. I'm taking it this fall semester. I can hardly wait to be finished with my psychology degree and begin a nursing program next year! Do any of you live in LA county? I live in the San Fernando Valley and am applying to several other schools.

Hi Shandrager! I'll be joining you this Spring! I'll be living with my parents, so I'm not in the market for roommates, but can give advice on areas to live. Vista, Oceanside, San Marcos, Escondido, are good places to look if you want to be near campus. BTW I'm originally from the Bay Area! I can't PM yet because I haven't posted enough yet... feel free to PM me if you have questions, want to meet, whatever!
