CPMC PICU or peds ER?

Hi,

Does anyone have any experience with the PICU or the Pedi ER at CPMC? I've been in a PICU at an academic med ctr for the past 2.5 years but have the opportunity to make a change.

The commute would be much better for me, but I am wondering about the work environment, and the types of pts/ amount of challenge. I know the PICU does less volume that my current unit, and generally has lower acuity, hence my interest in the pedi ED - new skills, different experiences. I'm really interested in hearing from anyone with experience working as an RN with or on either of these units to get some perspective. THANKS!!!
