CNA training in Northern Cali?

  1. I am going to be starting my pre-reqs this fall (on my way to a BSN) and need to work part-time. From looking on the discussion boards, some folks think it's not a bad idea to do CNA classes and start working in the field. i am not having much luck finding out who has programs in the bay area (esp. east bay). any ideas? thanks!

You might want to try ROP (Regional Occupational Program) as I know they have a CNA program. Their classes are very inexpensive. They are based in San Mateo County. Their phone number is 650-802-5413 and their web address is www.smcoe.k12.ca.us/rop. Hope this helps.

I am starting at the American Red Cross tomorrow. Also, our CC/JC offers a CNA/HHA course.

    Good luck! : )
