U.S.A. California

Published

Hey everyone! Has anyone applied to the City of Hope New Graduate program? I applied a few days ago and will post on here if I hear anything. Best of luck to those that applied!

For everyone waiting, if it is any consolation, I only just got a response back today.

Specializes in NICU.

Did anyone else get the email regarding the CIS thingy?!

I just did. I wonder how many openings there are for this opportunity. Something better than nada :/

My thoughts exactly! I just want to know what the position is, exactly. I'm happy for the opportunity but it's hard to be thrilled about something I know so little about.

I just rec'd my official thanks but no thanks email. :( I have my BSN + 125 hrs Onco experience in my preceptorship (Kaiser). I will reapply in the next round. Good luck to you all!!

Do you guys know exactly what that is? I got the email for that too

don't feel too bad. I had 360 onc experience with an insider referral, and still didn't get an interview for the NG pgm.

I had 2 semesters of oncology experience, a referral, and went through the 3rd round hiring stage for the last cohort. My status now says "not selected." Didn't even get a shot this time...

I think it's similar to the Epic implementation at Providence and CareConnect at UCLA Health Systems. City of Hope is probably changing their EMR system and they'll need staff support with the roll out of the new system. So they're hiring for the support. If you've gotten this email, it might be good news. First, it's not a rejection. Second, it's another opportunity to have your foot in the CoH door. Hospitals have been known to provide priority to their new grad technicians when bedside new grad programs open up. In addition, it's a great opportunity to network within the hospital.

Awesome. Thanks so much for all the input & feedback. I am definitely looking at this opportunity as good news, wasn't my priority choice at the moment but I will take what I can! Thanks again!

Around what time did you receive the message about the Go live CIS position? I received mine around 7pm. Please post once you hear back and scheduled your interview with the recruiter. I wonder how mamany people received this message and how many positions will be filled. Good luck to us!
