California Endorsement purgatory

  1. I deeply regret mailing it. I got every single part of the app together and mailed it overnight per their instructions. They got it 9/27. They still have not opened it or cashed the check. According to their website and processing times based on the speed from the last month and their updates, they are about 4 weeks from evening OPENING it. And then 10-12 weeks to process. By the time I get a job, I may not have any skills left. Learn from my mistake and do it online! Do not be like me..............I am actually considering putting an entire new app together and driving all the way to Sacramento.

This is my timeline from last year, it does take forever but when I did mine online had just become an option but with out of state hard card fingerprints it didnt make it any quicker.

I happened to have this still saved on my phone:
    Mailed 6/14/2016
out of state endorsement mailed 6/22
    CA BoRN received 6/17/16
    Check cashed 7/22/16
Status on Breeze changed to open 8/23/16
on 9/12/16 they were processing 7/1-7/14 mine was technically received 7/22
9/13 they said they never got my license verification so I had it from resent from my state I called BoRN regarding the delay and they told me to call on 10/3, as they also said my fingerprints still hadnt been verified.

10/3/16 called; all documents received, was told to wait 2 to 2 1/2 weeks. By chance I checked Breeze that same day and I was licensed.

It's a pain in the a** process but it does happen.

Breeze is not updated regularly. Since you submitted your application on 9/27, you won't get your license until January. Be patient. You can contact them using the Breeze website if you want to.

In addition, did you also apply for a temp license? The temp license takes 8 to 10 weeks

I did apply for a temp, but they have not even opened my envelope yet, and from what most others have been posting, several have stated they never even got the temp license even though they paid for it.

I drove to Sacramento last month to turn in my application.. my check was cashed within 3 days. So I think that does actually help to go to sacramento. The only thing I regret was not attaching my transcripts to the application. I know they do not want transcripts unless they come straight from the school, but I think they would have taken them.

I've been to the Sacramento office with a still-sealed official transcript before, and it was VERY difficult to get the woman at the window to take it and open it herself just to verify whether my nursing program really had listed the nursing pre-reqs I did at a different school on the transcript. (My status said "missing education requirements" so I thought maybe my nursing school didn't really list the classes I took at different institutions.)

The envelope and transcript were stamped, dated, and initialed by her as being opened at the BRN office before being returned to me since they had my transcript sent from the university in my file already. I highly doubt they would take transcripts you personally submit and put them in your official application let alone without ones sent directly from the university.

My status has said "Missing education history" for a month now. So even though she was grumpy about it... did turning your transcripts in person solve your problem and speed up the process for you?
