APU EENAP Summer 2011

U.S.A. California

Published

Hi Everyone,

So I received this email telling me I was accepted to APU's EENAP Summer 2011 class.

But this was 2 weeks ago and I cant get a hold of anyone there.

If you got in as well for this term, do you have any info on this?

Thank you!!!

I was accepted to the Summer 2011 term as well. I hadn't heard anything so I called the administrative assistant in the graduate nursing dept and she said that we should be receiving a packet with all of the information in the near future, and from there we put the deposit down.

Has anyone heard of any scholarship programs available? I know in the past Kaiser offered some type of assistance. Does anyone have any information on that?

I got accepted to EENAP summer 2011 in San Bernardino. Once the official transcript with posted degree is recieved then i guess you can talk to the fin aid counselor and they should answer all questions regarding scholarships and fafsa. once azusa receives my transcript, ill be more eager to get more info in regards to this matter.

I applied for APU and I was just wondering when did you apply to APU and how long was the wait for you to get in to this term?

I applied around Feb and was invited for an interview/info session a month after. Then I got my acceptance letter a month after that. The entire time took ~ 3 months. pretty quick i think but im sure there are many waitlists.

Hello,

Congratulations on your acceptance. I was accepted to the EENAP program for Summer 2011 in San Diego. I applied early last year and was told that I was done with all my prerequisites. Today I received a letter requesting the deposit and stating I have to take a research class now that they have merged the SCAN and EENAP programs into the ELM program before I can start the Summer term. Does anyone know anything about this? I'm worried because classes already began at most colleges for the Fall. The next time I would be able to take the class is Spring 2011 but this may run into the start of the Summer term. I don't know where I can take the class in San Diego. Does anyone have any advice? Thank you.

Hi Azusa SD EENAP graduates,

I'll be starting soon ELM in SD (EENAP). Can someone from the new grads of the EENAP advise about any difficulties go through this program, and about graduation rate, the number who in and out of the program. Thanks for future response.

Kyshia- I heard they are working on allowing some students to do the research methods class while they are enrolled in the program. I can Mesa college has several courses, they are under Psych. I got a full list of acceptable courses from Rene at the Regional office in SD. I can send it to you if you want.

Good Luck! I have been accepted in the Jan 2011 cohort but I haven't received my information package yet. Hopefully I will get it soon.

Hi all!

I'll be applying for the Azusa ELM program next semester and I just wanted to get an idea of the typical profile is of a student who was accepted!

I know most of the people who replied on this thread were accepted and will be attending next year, so I have a couple questions if any of you have time to answer them.

What was your undergraduate GPA?

What were your grades like in your prerequisites?

Did you have previous health care experience?

How long did it take to receive an interview after your application, and how long after the interview did it take to hear of your acceptance?

Have you visited the campus you will be attending? If so, do you have any advice/tips/positives/negatives to share about that campus? Is it possible to apply to all three of the APU locations and be accepted to whichever one has a spot open?

I know some of these questions may be very personal, so feel free to send me a private message or e-mail if you want! Can people send e-mails on allnurses? I'm new to this website/forum, so I'm not sure. Or if you do feel comfortable answering these questions in this thread, feel free!! I'm almost done with my prereqs and I can't wait to apply. I'm really crossing my fingers that I'll get in, but it's always nice to have some information beforehand regarding what it takes to be a competitive applicant.

THANK YOUUUU!!! And congrats on getting in! :yeah:

I am taking the research methodology psyc class at Chabot Community College in northern California. It was impossible to find. Since I'm going to be in the summer 2011 San Diego ELM program they said it wasn't going to be offered there. If you can't find the prereq at a local college they do offer it at Phoenix University online in 5 weeks but it is quite expensive (over $2000). Community college is a lot cheaper and if you have the time it's probably the best option.

Specializes in Civilian+military ER, CVICU.

Somebody please answer justinek, this program is my first choice and I've GOT to know the lowdown on accepted students profiles!

Thanks for your help!

Justinek & Suiteums...

My Undergrad gpa was 3.6 (graduated in 2003 :uhoh3:)

My pre-reqs are at 4.0

I applied in November 2009 and it wasnt until March 2010 that I heard back from them for an Interview.

It took another 2 months until I heard I was accepted for the Summer 2011 ELM program.

During the time I was taking my pre-reqs, I was also volunteering at a Hospital. Other than this, I had no prior health care experiences.

I hope this bit of info helps... :)
