Anyone took Online Pathophysiology and Pharmacology at SBCC??

U.S.A. California

Hi Everyone!

I'm just wondering if anyone took pathophysiology and pharmacology online courses at Santa Barbara City College. I will be taking these two courses over the summer along with a interpersonal communication course at DeAnza. Do you think that this will be too much of a workload?? I will be working, working on my applications, and studying for the TEAS this summer. Will this be too much?

Thanks,

Optimism

Anyone?

I took both patho and pharmacology at SBCC. Taking them together should be fine, I don't recall being overwhelmed with work from either.

Just FYI, the pharmacology class does not include any dosage calculations work.

Thanks for the reply! =)

Wannabe an rn,

How is the class structured? Is it self-paced? Also, how are the tests given and can you listen/watch the lectures any time convenient for you?

Thanks

Hi Optimism,

Patho is completely self paced. Pharmacology is a bit more structured. The lectures are all posted online, and you read them at your convenience. The tests are timed and are multiple choice/true false. Your tests are automatically graded by the system upon completion, and your results displayed.

I was wondering what teacher did you take for Patho?

Hi there,

If you don't mind sharing with me about your experience (s) with the instructors' teaching styles of both pathophysio and pharmacology from Santa Barbara CC. I am also tempted to take Pathophysio in the summer but uncertain if the 6 weeks time frame is conducive to learning and earning a good grade.

Thank you so much!

Hello! I was wondering if anyone has taken Pathophysiology or Pharmacology at SBCC in recent years? Or if they have any recommendations for Professors or tips for the classes? (HIT 201 and HIT 204)

Do any of you guys have any tips for taking the 8 week online Pathophysiology and Pharmacology courses? Should I start studying now?

Has anyone taken pharm or patho at sbcc yet? I’m hoping to take it this Summer and was wondering if anyone had updated recommendations ?
