Any Samuel Merritt applicants applying this July 08?

I was wondering if there is anyone that is also planning to apply to Samuel Merritt this July for any of the entry level programs (I'm planning to apply to the case management specialty)..it would be great to hear about others' backgrounds and experiences.

We could all help each other with the application process and make this process a little less stressful. Are there current students that could share some advice and insights about getting accepted as well? :)

i also applied to the july 1st deadline. did you hear anything about an interview yet? I am doing the ELMSN-FNP tract.

No word on my end!! I'll definitely keep everyone posted if I get word about interviews. Please do the same so that we can all keep each other from going insane. I've been so tempted to call the admissions counselor to ask when they anticipate interviews to start, but have stopped myself from coming off too pushy and desperate lol. I even check these forums every minute just in case someone has posted on the topic...

I received a call last week about an interview. My interview will be on Aug 7th. So I'm pretty nervous about it. You're doing CM so I think they have their own set of interviews separate from the FNP applicants. Right? haha. Well I hope you hear something from them soon.

Yes, the CM applicants have different sets of interviews. The staff at SM informed me that CM students will most likely be interviewed at the end of August through September. The faculty has not yet set a date for interviews in this particular program.

I've heard that interviews for both NP and CM are vastly different from one another. I hope you make a great impression on them and get early admittance! :wink2: Let us forum lurkers know how it goes!

I have applied to the ELMSN-FNP track. I haven't heard anything except for the email saying they received my application. I wish you well on your interview. I hope I get a call or email soon about an interview for me.

Hi, I graduated from a Samuel Merritt program. Words of advice

1) keep a copy of everything you give them because they will loose it more than once.

2) If something is lagging, call them and double check, because they loose everything or are too busy to keep up.

3)Once you get in keep track of everything that is due, what they exactly want and make sure you turn it in, in time, and keep the copy. (Oh and who you gave it to)

4) good luck figuring out the campus, it is spread out over 3 seperate blocks. So when the teacher's say "we'll meet in Peralta" make sure you ask the teacher for the address of peralta because it really is crazy trying to figure it out, but if they give you street address you'll be good to go.
