accelerated BSN-azusa-EENAP @ san diego-Summer 2009

U.S.A. California

Hi,

I got accepted into EENAP program at azusa-san diego campus for summer 2009 semester. Does anyone has an idea of how the program is, and what are the hospitals where they have the clinics? I am relocating to san diego and I don't have any idea of what would be a good place to rent a apartment. I am not a big fan of traffic and driving, so I am looking for anything which will be commute wise the best choice. How I wish, I could live in walking distance of everything:mad:.........I know, it is a impossible dream.

Please guys, if you know just know about anything, do let me know. Thanks!!!!!!!!:nurse:

Specializes in NICU.

Hi, I live in San Diego and haven't heard about this program...what can you tell me about it? I'd appreciate any info you might have as I am completing prerequisites right now and looking at different programs.

I think the APU campus is in the Mission Valley area, and there are plenty of apartments for rent in that area. Mission Valley is also pretty central...close to UCSD Medical Center and Sharp Memorial in particular, although I'm not sure where your clinicals will be. Hope that helps!

Hi,

Thanks for you reply!!:nuke:

Here is the link for the EENAP program of azusa pacific university(san diego campus)

Congrats on getting into the EENAP program at Azusa. I am completing prereqs right now hopefully to get admitted for Spring 2010.

The best place to live if you did not want to commute is Mission Valley because that is where the campus is located. You could probably ride your bike to school or something.

If you don't mind a 5-10 minute drive via freeway, you can also take a look at Pacific Beach, Clairemont Mesa area, Hillcrest, North Park. You may want to do some research on crime statistics because there are some sketchy areas you may not want to live in but the rent will be way cheaper than Mission Valley.

By the way, were you able to get any scholarships?

Thanks for the housing info!!!

I just got admitted, so I have not yet applied for any scholarship yet. I am exploring all scholarship possibilities. Kaiser has some loan forgiveness program too.

congrats on getting accepted into the program calinurse! i am considering applying for this as well. how was the application process? did you have to wait long before being accepted?

whoops..sorry got your name backwards-nursecali :)

Nurse Cali,

How long, since you applied, have you been waiting for the acceptance letter? Did the school gave some info about scholarschip?

thanks,

and congratulations:yeah:

I applied for the summer 09 EENAP program but i havent heard anything as yet.

is there a start date as to when u can start applying for the EENAP program? do they accept people on a first come basis or do they wait until the deadline for the applications?

As i applied in the last week of October :/

Hi Sarah7781,

I just read your post. I applied for Spring 2010 and submitted my final letter of recommendation before Dec. 2008. I'm still waiting to hear back. The only response I've received thus far is a letter confirming my application was now complete and that they would notify me of a decision once it was available.

Have you gone on campus and completed pre-admission advising? What do you think of the school so far? Have they made seats available for Summer 2009? I am still completing pre-reqs so I don't have a choice but to apply for next year.

I live in the United Kingdom, so i havent had a chance to actually visit the campus. From what i read, the school and the program look really good, i prefer getting the BSN and then the MSN rather than just the direct entry MSN.

I'm not sure if there are any seats available for the san diego EENAP summer 09 program left..i hope there is, if not i guess i'll have to change my application for the spring 2010 cohort, as i dont want to complete the program anywhere other than san diego.

Let me know when you hear anything from them! and good luck! :D

Hi everyone,

I just found out today that I've been admitted into the EENAP program for the term I applied for, Spring 2010. I'm so relieved! Goodluck to all of you!!!
