Hey I hope someone responds to this. I would love to know as well. I am here in Southern California and have a hard time trying to find a good school that is not long.

:chuckle I don't believe it. I have never in my 30 years of nursing ever heard of a 6 month LPN program. I went to LPN school 30 years ago and it was a 1 year program at that time. No it cannot be true.

6 months? it's usually about 1yr. to 18 months. imagine all the info that's not being given for such a short program. doesn't sound right to me. wouldn't trust it.

Yep. The shortest I've heard of is one year. At least that's the case in my area.

Sorry Keysha but there is no such thing as a 6 month LVN program. It is nothing but a "big lie." It doesn't exist period.

there is one in south bay where their literature states six months. i went and checked out their location, classroom, and spoke to their assistant/secretary, (i really dont know who he was because he never introduced himself -how professional, right?). i dont know if they are legit. because i couldnt find anything listed on ca.gov website. personally i think its a joke but mabey they will be receptive to other potential students. there are other details too but really, why waste money and time on a program with no pass rates, no graduated students (as far as i was told), high fees paid monthly and the possiblity of finishing the program and failing the lpn test.

I live in Washington and have heard about 6 month LPN programs via the rumor mill. Everytime I have contacted the entity (hospital, vo-tech, CC) that was supposedly offering it I was told no such program existed.

I don't recall the number of clinical hours that are required for LPN licensure but I suspect it would not be possible to (safely) acomplish them in a 6 month period.

I saw a website with a 6 month LVN Program it is an excellerated program to take the NCLEX Exam for LVN.

    The company is http://www.ftnlc.com/index.html

But you have to have Clinical training such as CNA, EMT, Paramedic more than 5 yrs of experience, pharmacology I think 50 or 60 hours, OB and Pediatric ward experience 5 Months I think. I have the paper at home.

They basically offere classes that will help you passed the NCLEX exam by going over the information on the exam. I put the website above for you to call and ask them for further information.
I left the paperwork they sent me at home. I am at work right now. I wish I could tell you more. I can't do it right now but I would love too.

    I hope this help.

A 6 month LVN/LPN program would be very dangerous, if it even existed.
