2015 Bay Area LVN Salaries

U.S.A. California

Published

I need LVN salary information for 2015 for the Bay Area (San Jose) . I just moved here from Arizona and have no clue what to ask for on my job applications. I ask for $30/hr and was able to get $28 at a certain registry based out of Los Angeles that got me a job doing a flu clinic at a popular hospital in San Jose. The thing is I don't want to work for a registry anymore. I want to get a prn/per diem job at a LTC or SNF or a full time job at a clinic, hospice or home health. Even school nursing would be great. What are the salaries for those types of places? I have 3 years of experience in a variety of settings but mainly in Corrections, LTC and SNF. I DO NOT want to work full time a LTC or SNF anymore, that kind of work is mentally and physically exhausting. I'm willing to drive to Newark/Fremont or Palo Alto.

I'm also currently still working for a registry that I worked for in AZ, they have a San Jose office and they told me their pay is $20-$25/hr

Thanks,

Amy

*Yes, these questions have been asked before but the threads are from 2003-2007. We're in 2015!

There's lots of SNF's out there, I don't live in San Diego though; look into Kindred Healthcare
