2010 - UCSF / Stanford RN Residency Interview?

U.S.A. California

Published

Hey,

I applied for RN residencies at both UCSF and Stanford during the week of May 10th, 2010. I wanted to hear from anyone who has applied to either program AND has been contacted by a recruiter. Or from anyone who knows for certain (i.e., you work there) when theses decisions will be made. I am a fairly strong candidate and would like to believe I am in the running for a position--but who knows really? I will post if and when I hear anything.

Best of luck.

I am waiting on one unit to get back to me...

Peachsnapple, what unit did you interview with?

icuuci... got your message.. will let you know when i know.. i will do the same as you ... I feel you... I'm totally stressed out.

Specializes in RETIRED Cath Lab/Cardiology/Radiology.

@icuuci... i can't figure out how to PM you back ??? Sorry I'm totally new at this....

You will be able to both send and receive PMs after you have logged in 15 substantial posts. :)

To use the PM feature (when it is available), either

* click on the paper-and-pencil icon below the member's name (if no icons are showing, click once on the member's name and four icons should appear below the name) and then write and send your PM.

* Click on My Account (top of page) and then in the drop-down menu you'll see Private Messages. Click on Create Message,, just below Private Messages.

Also, you may click on Site Map (top right of page) and in that section find Information Center, then How-To Video Tutorials. One contains information about PM'ing.

Good luck in your programs! :)

Thanks for the infor Dianah.

Did anyone else get offers from LPCH yet ?

I'm still waiting to hear from one unit...

With regards to Stanford, I know someone who got one of the 10 positions. She is going to be in the CCU. :nurse:

I was offered and accepted a position at Stanford as well :) I feel very blessed and excited to work there! Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear back..my fingers are crossed for you guys! :redpinkhe

Congrats Michelle! Unfortunately, I didn't move past the panel interview. Are the units accepting more than one new grad? If you don't mind me asking, where did you go to school at?

I don't mind at all..I went to the University of San Francisco. The unit that I will be working for hired 2 new grads including me..I'm not sure about the rest of the units, but I think that the other units were hiring either 1 or 2 new grads.

Congratulations mmichellef!!!! I'm so happy for you! :yeah:

I hope Lucile Packard calls me today! Fingers crossed  I want this so badly!

icuuci... Any word yet??

Do you know how many slots they have for the LPCH new grad program? I know two classmates who got offers at LPCH.
