When to apply as a new grad

I am graduating in May 2009(5 months!). I am anxious to apply to positions that I see online, especially since they state that they are open to new grads. Would it be too early to apply to them right now. If not now, when is it best to start applying? Thanks.

It's a head start, but definitely not too early. Most people apply in the next month or so and then will interview in February or March for programs that start in the summer. Congrats and good luck!
