Unitek Pricing?

I have read positive things about this particular school here on this board...but have not seen any mention of pricing?

Could anyone tell me what their price is and how long is the program??

Thanks so much

Hi,

Here's the info I got when I signed up in their website to get information last week.

LVN - $29,900
LVN to RN - $34,500
Pharmacy Tech - $9,990
Medical Asst - $10,950

Hope that helps!

If you have some medical work experience and good grades on the prereqs, look at the community colleges. If you're looking at Unitek, Mission College in Santa Clara and Gavilan in Gilroy (reverse commute if you're in the Southbay) are both good. Further south, Hartnell and Monterey Pennisula do not have the impaction problems of the other Bay Area schools, yet.

I am in my last semester at Mission and have received an outstanding education. Faculty is great and the clinicals are appropriate. And it runs about 1/10 of a private school. On the other hand, it runs 18 months, not 11 like Unitek. The sales pitch at Unitek is that you start working 6 months sooner, so that in itself can pay for the cost of education, a valid point if you can work out the $29K. Good luck!

Aww, that's just a minor fright. Try $41,000 for Western Career College...and their program is 18 months.

At least with Unitek, you save $11,000 and seven months!

Both Hartnell and Monterey Peninsula College DO HAVE IMPACTED programs.

Hartnell and MPC were next to impossible to get into 20 years ago. At one time there was a rumor that the new CSU Monterey Bay was going to start a nursing program. Never materialized.
