i am a nursing student in stockton california. ne ways, i am in the program at San joaquin delta college and am planning to get my bachlors of nursing. well, stockton is a big city somewhat. The houses are very expensive, but it is California. The thing is, that recently many of the people from the Bay area( san Francisco, hayward, oakland, etc), have been moving over to the San Joaquin valley and therefore every thing is becoming even more expensive. I live in Manteca, which is just 20 mins from stockton, I like it here, but the houses are just as expensive. The summers are very hot, over here, and the winters are very cold. But it doesn't snow in the valley. The good thing about this valley is we are in the center of every thing good in california. we can go the mountains, to lake tahoe to ski, play in the snow, etc. we can go to santa cruz and go to the beach. we can basically do anything, nothing is too far. we can go to the hills and go wine tasting, or go camping in sonora, which was a gold rush town. ne ways, i was wondering how much they offered you to work in stockton as a nurse, assuming you are working here. if i were you i would look into working a kaiser, they make hella good money. 100,000 a year.
