I agree. Some of the hospitals in Fresno and Bakersfield offer a lot in the area of teaching their new grads. The OP was talking about moving to LA and the central valley is a bit away from LA and it isn't LA weather But, it's doable for someone who needs to gain the experience they need and wants to live in Southern Cali; I think it would be a pretty good choice.

Re: hospitals in california who offers direct hiring for foreign nurses

Im sure its hard for a foreign educated nurse like myself to find a job..so its better for us to passed the nclex...and most especially to have valid or proper documentation from DHS. I will be having interviews soon for RN new graduate programs at UCLA, USC and CEDARS.With less than a year of experience fromthe Philippines I know I have to start fresh inhere and that's a good thing because I wanted to start buiding a good foundation here in california. Imhoping that an equal opportunity will be given for us. Don't loose hope for foreign educated RN's..we'll soon find our place. Good luck to us. God bless

This was posted from another blog...sigh....too much competition for too little jobs plus imported nurses keeps the wages low and jobs scarce.
