SDSU Nursing students?

Hey I was wondering if there are any SDSU nursing students out there that can share their experience with me. How was your GPA (Pre-req and GE) and TEAS scores? Did you get the volunteer points? I've applied for Fall 2009 and I know that they changed a lot of the point system compared to the previous years. I'd also like to know which hospitals clinicals are at, and how heavy is the school load (like units-wise)? I am so nervous and don't know what to expect and I won't find out about the admission status until July!

In addition to SDSU, I applied to CSULB and CSUSM. SDSU and CSULB are at the top of my list, but I am torn in between because CSULB has a trimester program and I can finish up in 2 years rather than 3 years like at SDSU and CSUSM. However, with SDSU I am a little closer to friends and family, and I am lot more familiar with San Diego and it would be easier to get a job here too.

Phew, so many questions, and I really appreciate it--thank you!

Default Re: SDSU Nursing students?
Just a suggestion: I wanted to get into SDSU's Nursing school and was faced with GPA and points requirement. "Sorry it can take you 2-3 yrs" I couldn't wait around because I had a family to take care of, so I applied and got accepted to an ADN program the following year vs waiting for SDSU. It only cost < $5000 to get my degree and obtain my RN license. I started at $20hr 6 yrs ago and now I'm making $43 (with diff) an hour and I don't even have my BSN yet. Now that my kids are a little bit older Im working on my BSN degree online......If getting your BSN is not a priority and you want to start your nursing career sooner ADN is the way to go.
