SDSU nursing program?

Yup, you get points based on your pre-req gpa, overall gpa, volunteer hours, and some points based on how well you did on the TEAS exam. Whether you're alread in SDSU or in a CC, you'll have to send in a separate application to the school of nursing, so theres no sure way of being in the program if you're already a student at SDSU. So yes, you can definately transfer over prereqs from a CC.. i am doing so too I wouldn't count on just aiming for one school, you should apply for as many schools that you have interest in as you can if possible, since every app period it gets more and more competitive theres already a couple of threads specifically SDSU, just flip through the first few pages and you should find more info

Hi, I am not an SDSU student and I cannot speak for how the SDSU system is. I am however, a Community College Student, a Mesa College student. I can tell you my side. I can tell you what I heard first. I heard from two sources(one a pre-nursing major and the other accounting) that . . . during your sophomore year, it will be a pain to reg-e for classes. Sophomores have the lowest priority when choosing classes, Fresh (1st), Senior (2nd). Sophomore will also be the harder courses as well, you would want the best teachers, you don't want that B or C.

From my point of view from junior college, with MESA, the system seems good. Take the classes your suppose to, maintain a high GPA, then transfer to your 4 year school of choice. TALK TO A counselor, they will tell you everything, make a plan. No, sophomore low priority B.S. You will be given a reg-e date, and on that date, plan your classes, wake up in the morning and sign up. From my experiences you will get in to the classes you want, you will get on the waiting list if the class is full, but . . . overall, I have gotten into every class I wanted to (I have taken around 20), just sign up early. I think junior college is the way to go, it's cheaper, quiet to study, plus there is a city college A.S. nursing program (waiting list).

I like transferring . . . the social network can get quiet. I am one of those people who love CC, it's working for me. Some people just want to go already, lol. But hey if you are serious about nursing, you can make friend groups and get use to it. I have.
