Katchick,
My experience and fellow new grad experience while applying for jobs with Scripps/Sharp/UCSD was to give them a couple weeks, and then call the recruiter directly just to check in and check up on your application. Sometimes when the recruiters realize you're really interested in them, they may speed up the process for you and get back to you quicker. I think it also depends on what areas are are applying to, as I know that the more specialized areas such as ICU/L&D do hiring from within their own hospitals, so they may just be trying to gauge how many positions are still available. I hope this helps! Sometimes giving the recruiters a little extra nudge doesn't hurt
