San Fran vs. San Diego

Me, hubby, and 2 yr old daughter live on Camp Pendleton and go down to San Diego all the time so I know what that's like but haven't been to San Francisco yet and will soon.

How do the San Francisco area and San Diego area compare in RN salaries keeping up with cost of living? If that makes sense?
