San Diego- Kaiser ER

I'm considering a travel assignment in the ER at Kaiser hospital in San Diego- anyone who has worked in this ER before, what is it like? Are they traveler-friendly? Any info would be appreciated!

I believe it is the one located on Zion Ave- about a mile and a half from Qualcomm stadium. Where are the other San Diego Kaiser hospitals located???

No, there is only 1 hospital. Many MOB's, but only 1 hospital in San Diego, which is the Zion location.

I'm an extern there (not in the ER)and I like it very much. You'll hear mixed things about Kaiser, but I enjoy it. I'm hoping to be hired there once I graduate in December.

Being a staff nurse vs and traveler is totally different. Ive been a traveler in san diego for a year now and have heard horror stories of kaiser expecially there ER. BUT everybody has different experiences everywhere. I can tell you I work at UCSD and have heard the ER is a great place to work - filled with travelers. I also lived down the street from qualcomm in the condos my company set me up with a liked it alot. I recently moved to the beach though because I didnt travel to cali to live near shopping plazas! Hope that helps
